3D product configurator

A 3D product configurator for your online shop

The shopper picks fabrics, colours, modules and sizes on one 3D model and sees the price for that combination. We build it from your files, and it is live on your product page in about two weeks.

Thirteen configurators we built

Each one runs live on this page. Choose the product type closest to what you sell. The label on each tile says which kind of configurator it is: colour and material, parts and finishes, modular or parametric.

Online product configurator

An ecommerce product configurator on your product page

The shopper picks a fabric, a part or a size on the product page and sees that exact version from every side. The price updates with each choice.

That answers the questions that would otherwise go to customer service or end in a return, and the order reaches your shop with the option codes attached. Ours is in 3D and runs in any browser, phones included, with no app to install. Browse our product configurator examples, grouped by what the customer changes.

How it works

What the configurator does

  1. 01

    One model for every option

One 3D model holds all the fabrics, finishes and parts. When the shopper changes a colour, the model updates in the browser without loading a new file, on desktop and on phones.

  2. 02

Prices and lead times per option

Every option has a price rule. Fabrics are grouped in price grades and a module adds a fixed amount. A size can carry a lead-time rule as well, so a wider sofa shows a longer delivery time. The total updates as the shopper picks.

  3. 03

    The order in your system

The order arrives in your system with the option codes, a plain-text description, the price, the lead time and a link to the configuration. The configurator only offers combinations that can be manufactured.

What it costs

What a configurator costs

Colour and material configurators have a list price on the Value plan, which includes the 3D model, hosting, updates and the implementation on your page. Modular and made-to-measure ranges have more rules, so we quote them per range.

Colour and material

$20per model per month

The Value plan

  • At least 100 models over 24 months
  • 3D model, hosting, updates and implementation included
  • A configurator for colours, fabrics and finishes
  • View in AR on phones

Modular and parametric

Quotedon the range

Priced per range

  • Modules that dock, or sizes generated to measure
  • The rules: which parts fit, what each combination measures and costs
  • Order handover to your shop or your CPQ
  • A working demo on your own products before you decide

On your shop platform

One snippet on the product page

The configurator goes on the page as one snippet and we help you place it. Shopify, Shopware, Magento, WooCommerce and custom builds take it the same way. Where a platform limits variants, as Shopify does at three options per product, the order is passed as a line item with the chosen options attached.

Selling on Shopware? How the configurator works with Shopware

How we build it

The timeline and what we need from you

  1. Day 1

    You send

A link to the product page and the option list as you sell it, with prices.

From you: The 3D files, drawings or photos you have. CAD files are useful but not required.

  2. 1 working day

    We answer

We tell you which kind of configurator the product needs and what it costs. The first product with colour and material options is free.

  3. Week 1

    We build the model

We split the product into its parts, build the materials from your samples or photos and check the measurements against the drawing.

From you: Material samples or close photos of the fabrics and finishes.

  4. Week 2

    We add the rules

We set which options can be combined, the price of each combination and its lead time. Then you test the configurator on your page.

From you: Your approval of the rules, and the order format your system needs.

  5. Live

    On your page

The configurator goes on the page and the order reaches your system with the option codes. Fabrics or options you add later go into the same model.
