Visual CPQ

Visual CPQ is CPQ that shows the configured product as a 2D or 3D view. Plain CPQ configures, prices and quotes a complex product from option codes and rules, and the user works from a form. In visual CPQ the view changes as the options are chosen, so the buyer and the sales representative look at the same product while the quote is built.

In the 3D kind the buyer turns the product round and picks the width, the fabric or the fitted options on the model. The configurator hands the choice to CPQ for the rules, the price and the quote. For a shop that quotes made-to-order products, this means the buyer has seen what they are ordering before they sign, and fewer orders come back because the product was not what the buyer had in mind.

Visual CPQ, CAD CPQ and a 3D configurator

Visual CPQ shows the configured product as a picture or a 3D model while the quote is built.

CAD CPQ also produces drawings or a CAD model for production. It is used by manufacturers.

A 3D product configurator without CPQ suits a shop selling from a product page. It holds the prices and the rules itself and writes the order into the shop. Visual CPQ is for made-to-order and B2B sales where a person quotes and the price depends on the customer.

What it costs

The model and the configurator are on our Value plan, from 20 dollars per model per month for at least 100 models over 24 months, with hosting, updates and implementation included. The connection to a CPQ system is quoted on its own.
