Free 3D tool
GLB validator for Amazon, Shopify, Google and iPhone AR
Drop in a GLB file and see which rules it breaks on each channel, with a link to the page each rule comes from. The fixes run in your browser and give you a new GLB and a USDZ.
Drop your GLB file here
Add its USDZ as well and the iPhone AR file gets checked too.
What each channel asks for
Amazon
200,000 triangles, square 2K to 4K textures, PNG or JPG, no cameras or lights

Google
GLB up to 15 MB, textures up to 8K, no validator warnings
iPhone AR
A correctly packed USDZ, 100,000 triangles, 2,048 px textures

What the validator can fix in your browser
Pick the channels you sell on and the validator makes one file for them. The result appears next to your original in the 3D view.
Cameras, lights and animation
Amazon does not allow them in a model, and exports from 3D apps often carry them. They are taken out of the file.
Texture size and format
Textures are resized and saved as JPG or PNG. At 2,048 by 2,048 pixels a texture meets the rules of all four channels.
Texture placement
Repeats and offsets stored with the KHR_texture_transform extension are written into the model, because Amazon does not list that extension.
Missing maps
Amazon requires base colour, metallic and roughness maps. Materials that only have plain values get flat maps made from those values, so they look the same.
Placement and real size
The model is moved so its base sits at the origin, centred, or onto the wall or ceiling plane. Enter the real height and it is scaled to match.
Triangle count
Models over the limit are reduced to 200,000 triangles for Amazon, or 100,000 for Google's AR view and iPhone AR. The result is shown next to your original before you download it.
iPhone AR file
A USDZ is made from the fixed model and packed the way the format requires. Mirrored parts and double-sided surfaces are prepared for Quick Look, which draws them differently from a browser.
When a model needs a rebuild
We rebuild a model from your product when the file itself is the problem, such as a CAD export with millions of triangles. The GLB and the USDZ come from the same model, and we host them and put the viewer on your product page.
A 3D viewer with AR for your catalogue is on our Basic plan: from $10 per product a month, for 100 products or more on a 12-month term. The model, hosting, updates and setup on your page are included. The plans are on the prices page, and your first product is free.
