GLB

The binary form of glTF, the standard 3D file for the web and for Android AR.

GLB is a single binary file containing a 3D model's geometry, materials, textures and animations. It is the packaged form of glTF, the open format the Khronos Group publishes, and it is what web viewers and Android's Scene Viewer load.

Its advantages are practical. One file to serve, a compact size, materials described in a way every renderer agrees on, and optional compression for the geometry. A product page that shows 3D almost certainly loads a GLB.

Its limit is Apple. iPhone and iPad AR use USDZ instead, so a production pipeline exports both from the same source model.
