Draco compression

A compression method for 3D geometry that makes GLB files much smaller to download.

Draco is an open-source library from Google that compresses the geometry of a 3D model, the positions of its triangles, by a large factor with no visible change. A GLB with Draco compression can be a fraction of the size of the same file without it, which matters most on mobile connections.

The viewer needs a matching decoder, which loads once and is small. Textures are not affected, so a model with large textures stays large; Draco is one half of an optimisation, not the whole of it.

Most production viewers support it, and most well-prepared product models use it.
