3D model accuracy
How closely a model matches the real product in dimensions, colour and materials, and how close it needs to be.
A product model is accurate enough when a customer who buys on the strength of it is not surprised by the delivery. That sets different tolerances for different things. Dimensions need to be exact to the centimetre, because AR and fit decisions depend on them. Colour needs to be right relative to the other colours in the range and to the real swatch in daylight. Materials need to read correctly: the difference between a matte and a satin finish is a return waiting to happen.
Accuracy is checked against the real product, not against the photos, and it is the reason a model built from a supplier's marketing image is a risk.
For configurable products it also means the rules are accurate: the combinations the configurator allows are the ones the factory can make.
